One for the English

As promised, here you have a comment for those that are not very fluent in Spanish. It’s day 21 of our trip and we just arrived to Costa Rica. The first 20 days in the USA (Boston, NY, Washington and Miami) have been great. We really enjoyed them and the time really flies. Conchi had never been to Boston before and she really liked it, specially the clam chowder. For me it was different this time: I was there for tourism, not for meeting investors. It is a great city where you can relax and enjoy it walking around.

NY remains as one of our favorite cities in the world.  It’s so amazing and frenetic at the same time. It’s a shame this time we couldn’t enjoy the shopping because we have no spare room in our luggage and a strict budget for the year. It was also great to go out for dinner with David Solozabal, a friend living in Shanghai that was there on a business trip.

As regards Washington, it was my first time there because Conchi had already been there once.  We think that half of the people working there must be civil servants and the other half policemen. A lot of movement in the city, specially because of the “bailout” voting and the forthcoming elections. We stayed at Alejandro and Eva’s place, friends from my university, and we really felt like at home. 

Finally Miami.  We think it’s a little bit overrated. Some hotels are really trendy, like the Delano and its bar, but many areas in South Beach need some urgent renovation. We had 3 good days on the beach and 2 days of tropical storms.

Well, as I said we are now in Costa rica for the next 15 days and then we will go to California for 3 weeks. We’ll keep you updated.
